About the role
The People and Culture Officer supports the People and Culture Manager in delivering HR services for UNICEF’s country office in Bamako. The role blends strategic HR partnership with day‑to‑day operational support, ensuring that HR policies are applied consistently and that staff receive the guidance they need.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with line managers to address HR needs and provide strategic advice.
- Implement assigned HR services, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Support learning and capacity‑development initiatives for staff.
- Conduct HR data analysis and produce reports to inform decision‑making.
- Apply HR best‑practice models while ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management, International Relations or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant HR experience in an international organization or large corporation.
- Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English.
- Strong analytical, research and organizational abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse workforce.
Required skills
- Advanced knowledge of HR principles and concepts.
- Proficiency with information‑technology systems and tools for HR analytics.
