Assistant – Country HR & Administration

About the role

The Assistant, Country HR & Administration provides generalist HR and administrative support to the country office. Working closely with the HR team, the role ensures smooth day‑to‑day HR operations, from recruitment to payroll and staff travel.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in data collection for HR policies and procedures.
• Travel to field offices to support specific HR assignments.
• Support recruitment activities: long‑listing, candidate contact, interview scheduling.
• Coordinate orientation for new staff and maintain staff contact lists.
• Prepare employee contracts, manage separation documents, and keep personnel files up to date.
• Collect performance reviews, assist with monthly payroll preparation, and process statutory payments.
• Handle visa applications, immigration clearance, and liaise with facilities for office and guesthouse upkeep.
• Provide administrative support such as scanning, photocopying, and preparing purchase requests for supplies.

Required profile

• Diploma in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of HR support experience.
• Knowledge of local labour laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work under pressure.
