People Partner – Support (HR for Call Center Teams)

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs a People Partner – Support to work closely with its call‑center teams in Burkina Faso and Mali. You will act as the HR liaison, ensuring that people initiatives are aligned with business objectives and that employees feel engaged and empowered.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Support department to design and execute an HR strategy that aligns with team OKRs.
• Identify talent gaps, reassign resources, and manage change initiatives and reporting lines.
• Improve organisational effectiveness through structure redesign, employee engagement, and retention programs.
• Support performance‑management processes, including regular feedback, 1:1 meetings, coaching, career‑growth conversations, OKR tracking, evaluations and PIP follow‑up.
• Conduct regular audits of employee sick‑time records to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Manage and track employee tenure changes for Benefit and Health Review (BHR) compliance.
• Update employee data in HR systems to keep records accurate and current.
• Handle work‑accommodation requests, coordinating with local medical professionals as needed.
• Prepare and deliver explanation letters for employees and monitor adherence to HR policies.
