Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret legal and regulatory data to support decision‑making, compliance oversight, and risk management. Working remotely, you will bridge legal expertise with data analytics, turning contracts, case records, and regulatory filings into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts and evaluate outputs for large language models (LLMs) used in legal workflows.
• Support regulatory compliance by mapping emerging requirements into processes and data models.
• Design interactive dashboards and management reports using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Implement data governance practices, including classification, retention policies and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
• Understanding of legal data structures and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC).
