Country Business Controller

About the role

The Country Business Controller supports the Country Administration and Finance Manager by delivering KPI analysis, performance reporting and actionable recommendations to enhance the profitability of BIA Group's operations in Mali.

Key responsibilities

• Review and control statutory and analytical P&L to ensure compliance with Group reporting standards.
• Lead monthly closing activities, including cut‑off, posting adjustments, ERP settlement and loading of statutory accounts into consolidation tools.
• Perform gross margin reconciliation between FI and COPA and monitor margin against targets.
• Analyse cost variances versus budget and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Provide recommendations to improve commercial and overall performance.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts, audit files, financial statements and cash‑flow analysis.
• Follow up receivables, payables and ensure internal procedures produce clean financial data.
• Participate in annual budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc reporting for internal and external partners.
• Approve expenses, purchase orders and credit limits within delegated authority.

Required profile

• Advanced understanding of accounting principles and business control.
• Experience in financial controlling or business control within a multinational environment.
• Ability to analyse performance drivers and communicate findings effectively.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local regulations is a plus.
