IT Operations Associate

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs an IT Operations Associate to keep its office infrastructure running smoothly. You will ensure reliable internet, telephony and network services for multiple office locations while supporting employees and internal partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 99.9% uptime for office internet connections and liaise with external suppliers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SMPP and SIP connections to guarantee timely SMS and voice notifications.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for ticket management, supporting employees, Product & Engineering teams, and external partners.
• Analyze network logs, diagnose ISP issues, and resolve telephony platform errors.
• Assist with onboarding new hires, providing hardware, software and IT best‑practice guidance.
• Manage permissions and hardware inventory for staff.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and telephony issues.
• Experience supporting office environments across multiple locations.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growing fintech setting and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
