Project & Contract Manager

About the role

The Project & Contract Manager will lead after‑sales mining projects for BIA Group in Mali, ensuring contracts are executed in line with the company’s strategy and client expectations. This role combines project coordination, commercial relationship management, and financial oversight to deliver profitable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce contract commitments, safeguarding BIA’s interests.
• Visit project sites regularly, conduct follow‑up meetings, and coordinate OEM (Joiful) sessions.
• Organise and lead project review meetings, reporting risks and corrective actions to senior management.
• Define human and material resources required for each project and ensure proper hand‑over to backups.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners, supporting commercial negotiations.
• Analyse client needs and propose technical solutions, including parts sales, services, and training.
• Manage project profitability (P&L), identify margin‑improvement actions, and oversee claim processes.
• Participate in risk identification, mitigation, and financial analysis for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex after‑sales or mining equipment projects.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Ability to work on‑site frequently and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior management and clients.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on profitability and risk management.
