Humanitarian Response & Recovery Coordinator (Professional)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Humanitarian Response and Recovery Coordinator to support its mission in Mali. The role focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Government of Mali and partners to address migration‑related challenges in a conflict‑affected environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for policy development, data collection and analysis (Displacement Tracking Matrix, Flow Monitoring Points, research).
• Coordinate protection and assistance programmes for vulnerable migrants, including voluntary return and sustainable reintegration.
• Lead awareness‑raising activities on the risks of irregular migration, counter‑trafficking, and labour migration.
• Facilitate community stabilization, conflict prevention and resolution initiatives.
• Collaborate with government authorities, UN agencies, humanitarian actors and civil society to ensure coherent response efforts.

Required profile

• Qualified candidates, with preference for female applicants and candidates from IOM member states not currently represented in professional categories.
• Relevant professional experience in humanitarian response, migration, or related fields.
• Ability to work in a complex, insecure environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
