Blasting and Drilling Technician Lead (Remote)

About the role

Societe Nationale Builder is looking for an experienced Blasting and Drilling Technician Lead to work remotely. The role leads and manages a team of nine technicians who handle drilling, blasting and crusher maintenance in the construction environment. Candidates must have at least five years of relevant experience and be proficient in English.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot drilling and blasting equipment to ensure safe and efficient extraction operations.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on jaw and cone crushers to prevent mechanical failures.
• Lead and coordinate a team of nine technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet operational targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all technical activities.
• Train and mentor team members to improve their technical skills and adherence to safety standards.
• Document technical processes and equipment status reports to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to plan and execute excavation and material processing strategies.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues quickly to reduce downtime and keep production schedules.
• Use English effectively for team communication, reporting and collaboration with international stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Technical knowledge of blasting and drilling activities, crusher machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Leadership ability to coordinate daily activities while following operational guidelines and safety protocols.
