Education Officer (P-2) – Temporary Assignment

About the role

The Education Officer will support UNICEF’s Education, Care and Protection (ECW) programmes in Mali, providing technical and operational assistance throughout the programme cycle. Reporting to the Education Specialist (P-3), the officer will help design, implement and monitor education interventions that promote children’s right to quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and planning of ECW programmes, including needs assessments and logical frameworks.
• Support programme management, monitoring, and results delivery, ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies.
• Provide technical input for programme implementation, data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Facilitate networking and partnership building with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of English or another UN language is an asset.
• Experience working in fragile or humanitarian contexts is desirable.
