Programme Officer (P-2) – Technical Assistance, Bamako

About the role

Under the guidance of the Deputy Representative Program, the Programme Officer will provide technical assistance and professional support for the design, planning, implementation, management and evaluation of UNICEF programmes in Mali. The role focuses on promoting multisectoral, coordinated and integrated approaches to maximise impact and optimise resources.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring results‑based management.
• Analyse data and prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge management and the optimum use of programme funds.
• Promote rights‑based approaches and advocate at national, community and family levels.
• Build national and local capacity for sustainable programme outcomes.
• Coordinate partnerships and collaborations with government, NGOs and other UN agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, public administration, international relations or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English.
• Desirable: knowledge of another UN language, experience in multisectoral project coordination, and experience in fragile or humanitarian settings.
