Education Officer (P-2) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Education Officer will support UNICEF’s Education for Children with Disabilities (ECW) programme in Mali. Reporting to the Education Specialist (P-3), the officer will contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of education interventions, ensuring they align with UNICEF’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in programme development, planning and formulation of the education component of the Country Programme.
• Support programme management, monitoring and delivery of results, including data collection and analysis.
• Provide technical and operational assistance for programme implementation, including budgeting and reporting.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities within the education sector.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Demonstrated experience in reporting, partnership management, budgeting, advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in French is required; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
• Experience in fragile or humanitarian contexts at country level is desirable.
