Education Officer (P-2) – ECW Programme

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Officer (P‑2) to support the Early Childhood and School‑Based Education (ECW) programme in Bamako, Mali. Reporting to the Education Specialist (P‑3), the officer will contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of education interventions that promote children’s right to quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and planning of ECW programmes, including needs assessments and logical frameworks.
• Support programme management, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely delivery of results.
• Provide technical and operational guidance for programme implementation, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities within the education sector.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Demonstrated experience in reporting, partnership development, budgeting, advocacy and stakeholder management.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
