Trust and Safety Analyst (Remote, Worldwide)

About the role

The Trust and Safety Analyst protects platform integrity and user well‑being by identifying, assessing, and mitigating online risks. Working remotely, you will enforce community standards, investigate policy violations, and respond to emerging threats such as fraud, harassment, misinformation, and harmful content.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth investigations of complex safety reports, including harassment, hate speech, misinformation, and illegal content.
• Apply and interpret internal policies with high accuracy and propose policy updates for emerging threats.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve detection tools and reduce harmful content at scale.
• Provide feedback to peers and automated systems to ensure consistent decision‑making.
• Analyze data to identify new abuse vectors (spam, scams, coordinated inauthentic behavior) and proactively escalate them.
• Handle sensitive user escalations in a trauma‑informed manner and act as the primary contact for high‑priority or legal requests.
• Translate trends into actionable recommendations for Policy, Product, and Legal teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Intelligence Analysis within tech/social media.
• Proven ability to make high‑stakes decisions quickly with incomplete information.
• Strong emotional intelligence and self‑care strategies for exposure to disturbing content.
• Fluent English with excellent written communication skills.
• Experience handling high‑pressure situations such as abuse spikes or live‑stream incidents.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Trust & Safety tools such as Salesforce, Jira, and moderation dashboards.
• Understanding of AI/automation in safety workflows.
• Data analysis and visualization using Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
• Basic SQL for pulling and interpreting safety metrics.
