Technicien d'Intervention d'Urgence

About the role

The Emergency Intervention Technician supports the Emergency Response Team (ERT) at the Fekola gold mine in Mali. The role involves daily inspection, maintenance, and readiness of fire‑fighting and rescue equipment, as well as participation in emergency drills and real‑time response actions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ERT with daily operational tasks and emergency interventions.
• Conduct daily inspections of response vehicles and fire‑fighting equipment.
• Perform periodic checks of fire protection systems, extinguishers, fire pumps, sprinklers, and other safety devices.
• Maintain, repair, and recharge fire extinguishers and SCBA (self‑contained breathing apparatus) cylinders.
• Prepare and update inspection and maintenance reports for fire protection equipment.
• Keep ERT facilities clean, secure, and ready for use.
• Participate actively in emergency responses, simulation exercises, and regular training sessions.
• Identify, report, and help manage site risks and hazards.
• Collaborate with HSE teams and other departments to ensure effective emergency response.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the ERT Coordinator or Supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Fundamental Studies Diploma (DEF) or equivalent qualification.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a similar fire safety or emergency response role.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ability to work on‑site in a remote mining environment.
