Translator – Dioula/English (Remote, up to $95/hr)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Dioula‑English expert to transcribe and annotate video content for AI language model training. This remote contract position offers flexible hours (10‑40 hrs/week) and competitive pay ranging from $15 to $95 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video material accurately in both Dioula and English.
• Mark precise timestamps for every transcribed segment.
• Analyze and describe speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Evaluate and critique grammar, syntax, and tone to improve model quality.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure linguistic standards are met.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with strong written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Ability to capture emotional nuance and intent in spoken content.
• Detail‑oriented with experience using transcription tools and timestamping.
• Strong analytical mindset for grammar evaluation and feedback.
