Software Training Officer

About the role

The Software Training Officer builds the capacity of health facility and warehouse staff to adopt and use LMIS software effectively. Reporting to the Training Lead, the officer designs and delivers practical, context‑specific training programs and provides on‑the‑job coaching to ensure confident system use.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain site‑specific training plans aligned with implementation timelines and go‑live schedules.
• Assess digital literacy and system knowledge of end users and adapt training content accordingly.
• Prepare and update user guides, job aids, quick reference cards, and exercise datasets.
• Facilitate hands‑on training sessions for health facilities, warehouses, and partner sites, tailoring delivery to mixed‑literacy and multilingual participants.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching during go‑live, conduct refresher and remedial sessions, and respond to training queries.
• Monitor post‑training adoption using system data, identify low‑adoption risks, and implement targeted follow‑up support.
• Document training outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement of materials and approaches.

Required profile

• Strong adult‑learning and facilitation skills.
• Solid understanding of health information systems and LMIS software.
• Commitment to building user capacity in low‑resource, field‑based environments.
• Ability to collaborate with implementation, technical, and operations teams.
• Flexibility to adapt training content to diverse literacy and language levels.
