Senior Program Manager – PADEM

About the role

The Senior Program Manager will lead the Project for the Improvement of Decentralisation of Education in Mali (PADEM). Funded by the European Union, the four‑year programme aims to raise learning outcomes in primary schools across Sikasso, Koulikoro, Kayes and the Bamako district.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of PADEM activities in the four target regions, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Coordinate regularly with local authorities, school managers, and community partners.
• Travel frequently to Sikasso, Koulikoro, Kayes and Bamako district for monitoring visits and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Child Safeguarding Policy, reporting any suspected abuse and promoting protection messages.
• Monitor programme performance, produce reports and support evidence‑based adjustments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing education or development programmes in West Africa.
• Demonstrated commitment to child protection and familiarity with safeguarding procedures.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
