Senior Civil & Earthworks Supervisor

About the role

The company is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil and Earthworks Supervisor to lead civil construction and earthworks activities on a major project in Mali. The role requires strong technical expertise, contractor management and the ability to ensure safe, efficient and quality‑driven execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise civil construction and earthworks, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules and quality standards.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, manpower, plant and equipment for efficient project execution.
• Manage bulk earthworks, excavations, foundations, reinforced concrete structures and associated civil infrastructure.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions to meet milestones.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate civil works with structural, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental requirements and quality control procedures.
• Lead site inspections, resolve construction defects and provide technical guidance to site teams.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience supervising large‑scale civil construction and earthworks.
• Proven contractor and subcontractor management experience in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, risk management and quality assurance.
• Professional registration with SACPCMP or relevant professional body is advantageous.
