Regional IT Manager

About the role

Wave is building the first cash‑less continent in Africa and needs a Regional IT Manager to lead IT operations across several West African markets. You will ensure that the technology backbone supporting millions of users remains reliable, secure and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Own IT operations across multiple countries (e.g., Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso) and guarantee 99.9 % uptime for services, hardware and core tools.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for country‑level IT incidents, coordinating with local staff and external vendors to resolve issues quickly.
• Provide all employees in the region with the tools and equipment required to perform their jobs efficiently.
• Develop and maintain playbooks, policies and documentation to standardise IT processes such as onboarding, off‑boarding, asset management and infrastructure configuration.
• Ensure compliance with Wave’s information‑security policies and adapt them to local regulatory and operational realities.
• Advise IT leadership on regional nuances, including purchasing constraints, network infrastructure and local regulations.
• Identify resourcing gaps, drive hiring decisions for IT roles and collaborate with People, Finance and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT operations across several countries or regions.
• Strong understanding of IT service continuity, hardware lifecycle management and vendor coordination.
• Ability to translate security and compliance requirements into practical regional processes.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams and local stakeholders.
