Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide on‑call support for enterprise infrastructure environments serving clients in California. The position is freelance and based in Bamako, offering flexibility to work across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI platforms (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of virtualized environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, including networking and storage issues.
• Implement backup and disaster‑recovery solutions and ensure data protection.
• Provide on‑call incident response and support global cloud and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date system documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure or virtualization engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Nutanix stack and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with VMware or Hyper‑V environments.
• Proven ability to handle critical incidents and work in a team‑oriented, proactive manner.
