IT Business Analyst

About the role

The IT Business Analyst will bridge business needs and technical solutions by analysing data, identifying trends and turning insights into actionable recommendations. This role supports data‑driven decision‑making and helps improve operational efficiency across Museum of Illusions locations.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
• Create detailed reports and dashboards in Power BI to support management decision‑making.
• Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data availability and accuracy.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical audiences.
• Support the definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) across museum locations.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
• Conduct ad‑hoc data analysis to respond to business questions and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain and update business documentation, process flows, and data dictionaries.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a business analyst or closely related role.
• Comfort working with revenue drivers, demand forecasting or performance benchmarking, focusing on commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high data quality standards.

Required skills

• SQL for querying databases and performing independent data analysis.
• Power BI (or comparable business intelligence tools) for building reports and dashboards.
• Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
