Dioula Linguistic Specialist – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dioula Linguistic Specialist to support our AI language model training initiatives. This remote contract position involves transcribing and analyzing bilingual video content, ensuring linguistic precision and cultural nuance.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in Dioula and English with high accuracy.
• Provide precise timestamps for each transcribed segment.
• Analyze and describe speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Assess and critique grammar, syntax, and tone in both languages to improve model training.
• Define conceptual aspects of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to meet quality and linguistic standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven expertise in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Ability to capture and articulate emotionality, tone, and intent in spoken content.
• Experience using transcription tools and meticulous attention to timestamping.
• Strong analytical skills for grammar evaluation and comprehensive language feedback.
