Deputy HME Manager (Expatriate)

About the role

The Deputy HME Manager ensures all mobile equipment is in good condition, provides cost‑effective repair solutions, and upholds high workplace health and safety standards. The role covers planning, leading, organizing and supervising daily Mobile Equipment Maintenance activities at the Fekola Gold Project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the earthmoving equipment workshop to achieve optimal availability, utilization and performance.
• Plan, lead, organize and supervise day‑to‑day Mobile Equipment Maintenance activities, including scheduled maintenance, repairs and safety standards.
• Review maintenance performance reports and equipment repair history, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage approved capital and operating budgets for the HME section.
• Monitor stock of spares, conduct life‑cycle costing and determine economic replacement criteria for components and equipment.
• Participate in safety meetings, conduct monthly inspections and ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with earthmoving equipment and large fleet management in a mining environment.
• At least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Experience with workplace safety programs and possession of a Code B driver’s licence.
