Customs Delivery Agent – Trainee (12‑Month Programme)

About the role

Join Maersk Customs Services as a Customs Delivery Agent – Trainee and gain hands‑on experience in customs clearance execution. Over a 12‑month period you will develop a solid foundation in customs regulations, compliance, and operational excellence while working alongside seasoned customs professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of customs documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates.
• Prepare and follow up on import licence applications.
• Carry out administrative procedures and customs circuits to obtain delivery orders and customs releases.
• Monitor clearance files through to final release of goods.
• Update tracking systems and prepare regular reports on file status, lead times, and bottlenecks.
• Identify documentation discrepancies and escalate non‑compliance issues.
• Contribute to improving processing lead times and service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Logistics, Transport, International Trade, or a related field.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and transit operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work well in a team.
• Good communication skills in French; English is a plus.
