Transport Experts – Global Gateway Talent Pool

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of transport experts to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. The pool will provide short‑term technical assistance worldwide, focusing on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia‑Pacific, starting January 2027 for up to 48 months.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prepare, appraise and implement transport and connectivity projects.
• Conduct prefeasibility and feasibility studies, technical assessments, economic and financial analyses, and sector studies.
• Support transport infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, modernisation and investment planning.
• Assist public authorities in developing policies, strategies, regulatory frameworks and sector reform programmes.
• Prepare transport investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Advise on sustainable, low‑carbon, smart, safe, resilient and inclusive transport solutions.
• Promote multimodal transport, logistics connectivity and integration between different transport modes.
• Assess investment climates, identify public‑private partnership opportunities and support procurement, tendering and contract management.
• Facilitate coordination among public authorities, EU delegations, IFIs, infrastructure operators, private sector stakeholders and development partners.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in transport, infrastructure, mobility, logistics, connectivity or related sectors.
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: road and highway infrastructure (additional areas mentioned in the original posting).
• Experience working with public authorities, international financial institutions or development agencies is desirable.
