Country Coordinator – Sahel Region (Mali)

About the role

The Country Coordinator will lead IFDC's program implementation in Mali, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and delivering results through strong partnerships and effective management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure program activities align with the overall vision and leadership.
• Build and manage a strong implementation team with clear strategy.
• Maintain relationships with implementing partners and leverage synergies.
• Represent the program in meetings, conferences and public forums.
• Lead project management meetings with consortium members and donor representatives.
• Monitor expenditures, budgets and financial compliance.
• Supervise work plans, progress and financial reporting.
• Organize monthly cash flow and request advance funds.
• Track project indicators, evaluate results and take corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Seed Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Economics, International Development or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in the seed sector and agricultural development, with significant experience in West Africa.
• Proven expertise in seed sector management and strong stakeholder networks.
• Fluent in French and English with excellent communication skills.
