Bambara Language Expert (Remote)

About the role

This contract position focuses on providing high‑quality Bambara language data to train next‑generation AI models. You will work remotely, collaborating with AI trainers and developers to ensure the linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance of the data used in machine‑learning pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara with precision and cultural awareness.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language datasets to maintain high quality.
• Annotate, evaluate, and improve Bambara language data for AI training.
• Create and review glossaries, linguistic resources, and written materials in Bambara.
• Provide insights on idioms, expressions, and cultural references to optimise model outputs.
• Participate in team discussions, offering linguistic expertise and constructive feedback.
• Meet project deadlines and quality standards for all deliverables.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Proven experience editing or creating written content in Bambara.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to linguistic integrity.
• Self‑motivated and able to work efficiently in a remote setting.

Required skills

• Experience with language data and AI platforms (preferred but not mandatory).
