Bambara Language Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native speaker of Bambara to help train next‑generation AI systems. In this remote contract position you will provide high‑quality linguistic input that will enable our models to understand and generate Bambara accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain high‑quality standards.
• Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate, evaluate, and improve Bambara datasets for machine‑learning models.
• Create and review glossaries, linguistic resources, and written materials in Bambara.
• Provide insights on idioms, expressions, and cultural references to optimise AI outputs.
• Participate in team discussions, offering linguistic expertise and constructive feedback.
• Deliver all tasks within project deadlines and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience editing, reviewing, or creating written content in Bambara.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic integrity.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Experience with language data and AI platforms (preferred).
