Bambara Language Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native speaker of Bambara to help train next‑generation AI systems. In this remote contract position you will provide high‑quality linguistic input that will improve how AI models understand and generate Bambara text. No prior AI experience is required – your language expertise is the key asset.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain high‑quality standards.
• Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate, evaluate, and enhance Bambara language datasets.
• Develop and review glossaries, linguistic resources, and written materials in Bambara.
• Provide insights on idioms, expressions, and cultural references to optimise AI outputs.
• Participate in team discussions, offering linguistic expertise and constructive feedback.
• Meet project deadlines and quality requirements for all deliverables.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Proven experience creating, editing, or reviewing written content in Bambara.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic integrity.
• Self‑motivated and able to work efficiently in a remote setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Bambara language translation and proofreading.
