Visiting Expert for EUCAP Sahel Mali Mission

About the role

The European Union Capacity Building Mission in Mali (EUCAP Sahel Mali) is seeking qualified visiting experts to support its 2026‑2026 programme. Experts will be deployed on‑site to provide technical advice, training and mentorship to Malian institutions, contributing to the mission’s overall capacity‑building objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert advice and guidance on project implementation and institutional strengthening.
• Design and conduct training sessions and workshops for local partners.
• Assist in the development and adaptation of operational procedures and best practices.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, analyses and recommendations for the mission.
• Liaise with national authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated actions.
• Maintain compliance with EU standards, security protocols and mission guidelines.

Required profile

• Citizenship of an EU Member State.
• Proven experience in capacity‑building, development cooperation or related fields.
• Familiarity with the Sahel context and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset.
• Willingness to obtain any required security clearance.
