Programme Support and Liaison Officer (Mali)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mali Country Office is seeking a Programme Support and Liaison Officer to strengthen its collaboration with UN partners and the Government of Mali on migration‑related initiatives. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Head of Programme, the officer will supervise programme support staff and facilitate project development, donor reporting, and resource mobilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Programme Support staff and ensure quality delivery of results‑based programmes and projects.
• Contribute to the drafting, endorsement and alignment of concept notes, project proposals and results frameworks with IOM, UN and donor requirements.
• Review resource needs, document programmatic gaps and identify funding opportunities.
• Support Project Managers in preparing donor reports and ensure compliance with IOM policies and standards.
• Conduct research on potential funding sources, monitor calls for proposals and assist in proposal preparation.
• Facilitate liaison with government counterparts, UN agencies and other stakeholders to advance the Global Compact on Migration and related UN frameworks.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in international development, migration, public administration or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in programme coordination, donor reporting and project development within an international or UN context.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with results‑based management approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
