Program Manager – Mali (International Development)

About the role

IFC is looking for a Program Manager to lead the operationalisation of IFC2030 in Mali. Based in Bamako, the role reports to the Division Director for West Africa and is responsible for overseeing IFC’s investment and advisory activities across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously refine a multi‑year country strategy for Mali, aligning market development, sector priorities and business targets.
• Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with government agencies, private‑sector firms, regulators, development partners and civil‑society organisations.
• Drive proactive deal origination, structuring and execution to grow the investment portfolio, currently exceeding US$500 million.
• Coordinate joint initiatives with World Bank Group entities, MIGA, multilateral and bilateral donors, and ensure consistent branding and communication.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of investment, advisory and support staff, fostering collaboration with regional industry directors and executive directors.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale private‑sector development programmes in fragile and conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong track record of leading investment pipelines and advisory services in emerging markets.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills with governments, private sector and development partners.
• Fluent in English and French.
