Programme Officer (P-2) – Technical Assistance

About the role

Under the guidance of the Deputy Representative Program, the Programme Officer provides technical assistance and professional support for the design, planning, implementation, management and evaluation of UNICEF programmes in Mali. The role focuses on promoting multisectoral, coordinated and integrated approaches to maximise impact.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in programme development, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s rights‑based and results‑based management approach.
• Support optimum use of programme funds and monitor financial performance.
• Conduct data analysis, progress reporting and programme monitoring and evaluation.
• Facilitate national and local capacity building for sustainable outcomes.
• Advocate for child rights at national, community and family levels.
• Coordinate partnerships and collaborations with government, NGOs and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluency in French and intermediate English.
• Experience in multisectoral programme design and implementation is an asset.
• Knowledge of an additional UN language or local language is a plus.
