People and Culture Officer (P-2) – Fixed Term – Bamako, Mali

About the role

The People and Culture Officer supports UNICEF's mission in Mali by delivering high‑quality human resources services. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, the officer works closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure HR policies are applied consistently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Business partnering with line managers to address HR needs.
• Implementing strategic HR initiatives aligned with UNICEF priorities.
• Providing day‑to‑day HR services, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
• Designing and delivering learning and capacity‑development activities.
• Collecting, analysing, and reporting HR data to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management, International Relations or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant HR experience in an international organization or large corporation.
• Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of HR principles and concepts.
• Strong analytical abilities for HR data analytics.
• Proficiency with HR information systems and general IT tools.
