Dioula Linguistic Specialist – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Dioula Linguistic Specialist to support AI language model training by transcribing and analyzing bilingual video content. This remote contract position offers flexible hours and competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in Dioula and English with high accuracy.
• Provide precise timestamps for each transcribed segment.
• Analyze and describe speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Assess and critique grammar, syntax, and tone in both languages to improve model training.
• Define and elaborate on conceptual aspects of words and expressions used.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure linguistic quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven expertise in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Ability to capture and articulate emotionality, tone, and intent in spoken content.
• Experience using transcription tools and strong attention to detail in timestamping.
• Analytical mindset for evaluating grammar and providing comprehensive feedback.
