Dioula Language Specialist – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Dioula‑English expert to support the creation of high‑quality linguistic data for AI training. This remote contract position offers flexible hours and competitive pay based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in both Dioula and English with precise accuracy.
• Insert clear timestamps for each transcribed segment.
• Analyze and describe speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Evaluate and critique grammar, syntax, and tone in both languages to improve model performance.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure linguistic quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving both languages.
• Ability to capture and articulate emotional nuance and intent in spoken content.
• Detail‑oriented with experience using transcription tools and timestamping.
• Analytical mindset for grammar evaluation and language feedback.
