Transaction Structuring and Capital Raising Executive

About the role

The client seeks a senior transaction‑structuring and capital‑raising executive to lead a dual‑component renewable‑energy portfolio through bankable modelling, PPA and concession finalisation, and capital‑stack structuring. The role reports to the CEO and will mentor internal finance staff while handling high‑level investor and regulator engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a DFI‑compliant integrated financial model and valuation report for mini‑grid and hybridisation components.
• Lead finalisation of bankable PPAs and concession agreements or term sheets with the state utility.
• Structure the capital stack and prepare information memoranda, investor presentations and fundraising materials for DFI and commercial outreach.
• Develop a regulatory roadmap and support senior engagement with government and sector regulators.
• Embed investor‑relations and PPA‑management SOPs and train the internal financial analyst and incoming finance leader.

Required profile

• 10+ years in CFO, CCO, senior project‑finance or equivalent transaction leadership roles.
• Proven track record closing complex infrastructure financings in Africa.
• Fluent French for utility, regulatory and government negotiations; English preferred for DFI and investor documentation.
• Ability to mentor lean teams and build repeatable operating processes.

Required skills

• Integrated multi‑component project‑finance modelling, valuation and capital‑stack structuring.
• PPA and concession structuring, investor documentation and term‑sheet negotiation.
• Knowledge of IFRS and SYSCOHADA; fragile‑market risk management is a plus.
