Senior Software Implementation Officer

About the role

The Senior Software Implementation Officer leads end‑to‑end rollouts of a Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) across multiple program sites. Reporting to the Implementation Lead, the role ensures deployments are accurate, on schedule, and meet operational standards for daily use.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate software rollout activities, develop workplans, identify risks, and align all stakeholders.
• Conduct readiness assessments covering staff capacity, infrastructure, master data and system prerequisites.
• Manage cross‑functional teams (technical, medical, supply chain, monitoring & evaluation) throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Verify system configurations, approve facility setups, user access controls, item master lists and location hierarchies.
• Oversee data loading, lead go‑live execution, and ensure core workflows (receiving, dispensing, requisitions, transfers, reporting) function correctly.
• Document and resolve technical and operational issues, escalating with recommended solutions.
• Validate junior staff work, enforce SOP compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing LMIS or similar software implementations.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide junior staff and act as an escalation point.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to navigate complex, multi‑partner environments.
• Commitment to quality and adherence to implementation standards.
