Partnerships Officer – UN Resident Coordination Office

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordination Office in Mali is seeking a Partnerships Officer to support the Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team (UNCT) in advancing strategic, non‑monetary partnerships that drive progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key responsibilities

• Provide substantive support for strategic planning and coordination of UNCT partnerships with civil society, the private sector and other stakeholders.
• Advise on the development and implementation of the UN Partnership Strategy in line with the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Facilitate a UNCT working group or similar platform to monitor, assess and adjust the partnership strategy as new opportunities arise.
• Coordinate with UN entities at country, regional and headquarters levels to craft value propositions that engage a broad range of partners.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, briefs and advocacy materials related to partnership outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in international development, public policy or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in partnership development, strategic planning or coordination within multilateral or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of the UN development system, the 2030 Agenda and SDG implementation.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with diverse stakeholders.
