About the role
The Officer, Community Mobilization will lead community sensitization and mobilization interventions, coordinating day‑to‑day activities, monitoring, and reporting to improve health, nutrition, and WASH services.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and monitor community awareness sessions, campaigns and outreach activities in collaboration with health, nutrition and WASH teams.
- Supervise and mentor social mobilizers, conduct monitoring visits, review reports and provide feedback.
- Prepare weekly and monthly work plans, ensure availability of IEC materials, and coordinate with IMC departments such as finance, logistics and procurement.
- Represent IMC in community‑based health meetings, liaise with district health authorities, and ensure participation of crisis‑affected and disadvantaged groups.
Required profile
- University degree in Social Sciences, Health or related field (HEC‑recognized) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilization and health/hygiene education.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities; able to work independently under pressure.
- Fluency in local and national languages and ability to communicate in English.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
