Immunization Specialist (P-4) – PHC Integration

About the role

The Immunization Specialist provides strategic leadership and technical support for immunization programmes, ensuring their integration within Primary Health Care (PHC) and strengthening health systems to deliver equitable, sustainable vaccination services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Immunization/EPI team in planning, implementation, monitoring and results delivery.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the programme cycle, applying results‑based management principles.
• Promote integrated approaches across health programmes and support health‑system resilience.
• Coordinate advocacy, networking and partnership building with national and international stakeholders.
• Drive innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, Health Policy, Global Health or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in health, primary health care, programme management, policy development or emergency preparedness.
• Demonstrated experience in immunization programmes and health‑system strengthening.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or local language is an asset.
