Dioula Language Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Dioula Language Specialist to join our remote team on a contract basis. The role focuses on transcribing and analysing bilingual video content to support the training of advanced language models.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video material in Dioula and English with high accuracy.
• Insert precise timestamps for each segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyse speakers’ emotional tone, intent and non‑verbal cues, and document these observations.
• Review and critique grammar, syntax and overall tone in both languages to improve model quality.
• Define and elaborate on conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper AI comprehension.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure deliverables meet linguistic and quality standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dioula and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation or transcription involving these languages.
• Ability to capture and describe emotional nuance, tone and intent in spoken content.
• Strong analytical mindset for grammar evaluation and feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency with transcription tools and accurate timestamping.
