Bambara Language Translator (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Bambara speaker to provide expert translation and linguistic support for AI and machine‑learning projects. This remote contract position involves ensuring high‑quality Bambara language data for various applications.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara with cultural accuracy.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate, evaluate, and improve Bambara language datasets.
• Develop and review glossaries, written materials, and linguistic resources in Bambara.
• Provide insights on idioms, expressions, and cultural references to optimize AI outputs.
• Meet project deadlines and quality requirements for all deliverables.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara, both spoken and written.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Proven experience editing, reviewing, or creating Bambara written content.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently.
• Experience with language data and AI platforms is a plus.
