Senior Superintendent, Planning & Reliability (Expatriate)

About the role

The Senior Superintendent, Planning & Reliability will ensure efficient and reliable operation of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet at B2Gold's Fekola mine. Working closely with the HME team and Mine Operations, you will develop and sustain maintenance planning, reliability engineering controls, and CMMS processes to maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HME planning and reliability team, overseeing daily activities and performance.
• Develop, implement and maintain CMMS master data, maintenance strategies and work‑management schedules.
• Produce a rolling 24‑month forecast and budget for equipment overhauls, replacements and capital projects.
• Manage a 12‑week planning window aligned with mine operations, delivering weekly and four‑weekly schedules.
• Prepare and update maintenance expense and capital budgets, component life‑cycle plans and workforce requirements.
• Coordinate Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programmes, spare‑parts strategies and warranty management.
• Ensure mobile equipment complies with statutory, regulatory and site‑specific requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mining maintenance planning, reliability engineering or heavy‑equipment management.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in a FIFO or fly‑in‑fly‑out environment.
• Strong analytical and budgeting skills, with ability to develop long‑term forecasts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across HME and mine operations.
