Senior Program Officer – Resource Acquisition

About the role

World Vision Mali is seeking a Senior Program Officer to lead resource acquisition efforts. The role focuses on securing major grants, building donor relationships, and supporting the organization’s mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Identify institutional funders and develop concept notes and project proposals for international governments, multilateral and bilateral donors, and foundations.
• Maintain and deepen donor relationships to increase and retain financial resources.
• Coordinate with operations, strategy, DME, technical and emergency relief teams to develop business plans for grant acquisition.
• Represent World Vision Mali in networking events with NGOs, UN agencies, and donor delegations.
• Foster collaborative partnerships with government, communities, and other NGOs.
• Participate in evaluations, working groups, and workshops.
• Manage grant information on the Horizon system and ensure proper delivery and reporting.
• Provide communication advice and technical assistance to internal units.
• Build capacity of staff and demonstrate Christian maturity in workplace activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource acquisition, grant writing, and donor relations.
• Strong ability to work with internal and external partners across sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and mission.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Horizon grant management system.
