Risk & Compliance Lead – Field Audit (Mali)

About the role

We are looking for a Risk & Compliance Lead to ensure operational integrity across our growing fintech platform in Mali. You will be the local point of contact for implementing global risk and compliance standards, overseeing field audits, and supporting AML/CFT investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field audit activities, including agent audits, spot checks and reconciliations.
• Escalate and address audit‑identified deficiencies with field audit and agent operations teams.
• Monitor implementation of control measures and report any breaches or gaps.
• Support rollout of internal control frameworks across business functions.
• Identify and evaluate operational risks in collaboration with functional teams.
• Ensure basic compliance requirements such as KYC and agent onboarding controls are met.
• Participate in incident reviews and follow up on remediation actions.
• Assist AML and CFT investigations, including filing Suspicious Transaction Reports to the Financial Intelligence Authority.
• Provide guidance, training and documentation on relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate fraud investigations, escalating signals to regional and global teams as needed.

Required profile

• Experience conducting field audits and implementing control frameworks.
• Familiarity with AML, CFT, KYC and other compliance regulations.
• Ability to work onsite in Mali and travel to field locations.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with regional and global teams.
