Resources Management Officer (RMO) – Mobility

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Resources Management Officer (RMO) to support the financial, human‑resources and administrative functions of its Country Office and Sub‑Office(s). Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with the Senior Regional Resources Management Officer, the RMO will ensure sound budgetary control, treasury management and compliance with donor agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee financial management for all Country Office activities, including expenditure tracking and accountability.
• Conduct financial analysis of programmes and prepare budget reports in line with IOM regulations.
• Forecast cash flows, manage treasury functions and validate fund disbursements against donor agreements.
• Review monthly accounts, analyse variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, and take corrective actions to avoid deficits.
• Assist the Chief of Mission and Project Managers in preparing budgets for new projects and provide technical support throughout the project cycle.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial management, budgeting and treasury operations, preferably in an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management, project teams and external partners.
