Regional Director

About the role

The Regional Director leads Young Life’s mission in a defined geographic area, overseeing staff, volunteers, and ministry programs to ensure spiritual growth and community impact. This senior leadership position requires a deep personal faith, strong relational skills, and a commitment to the organization’s Christian purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate area directors, metro staff, and office administrators.
• Oversee the Discipleship Growth Lab (DGL) program, including candidate screening, compliance, and mentoring.
• Ensure leadership strategies produce healthy people, teams, and ministries.
• Develop staff and volunteers to reflect the diversity of the community.
• Network with community, school, church leaders, parents, and donors to share Young Life’s vision.
• Model personal spiritual disciplines and guide others in growing their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Required profile

• Profess a personal belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Commit to Young Life’s Statement of Faith and biblical standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude.
• Willingness to listen, learn, and seek help when needed.
