Programme Associate (G-6) – Temporary, 364 days – Hargeisa

About the role

Under the supervision of the WASH Specialist, the Programme Associate provides essential programme support to the WASH section in Somalia. The role involves assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of the country programme to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the WASH section in designing, implementing and tracking programme activities.
• Collaborate with field staff, external partners and agency counterparts.
• Monitor project milestones and provide regular status updates.
• Identify and recommend improvements to keep activities on track.
• Assist with budgeting, resource management and reporting in line with UNICEF regulations.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education.
• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in administration, programme management, funding or related fields.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Required skills

• Strong programme and administrative support capabilities.
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation abilities.
• High attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
